April 20th, 2003 - I take a break from war worry.  I have painted Star Trek stripes on my truck (see picture below).  I feel much better now.

April 17th, 2003 - Another milestone in the war coverage: neither of the major Seattle papers has a war/occupation related headline!  Who is next?  North Korea, Iran, or the "axis of evil" newcomer Syria?

April 9th, 2003 - Today is an interesting day in the progress of the war in two regards.  One, it is the first day since Bush's 48 hour ultimatum was delivered (March 17th) that the Seattle paper's front page picture was not linked to the war!  It also may go down as the date upon which Saddam's regime was toppled.  Hooray, we win!  Bush has proven that Might makes Right!

I am against the war.  If you are a sci-fi nut like me, perhaps you have worried that our nation's leaders have not been paying attention to the lessons contained in classic sci-fi greats such as Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica.  And they've obviously never seen A Taste of Armageddon.

Who among us cannot stop and pause to carefully re-evaluate our feelings about war; about what "support the troops" means, after reading this famous piece by Mark Twain: The War Prayer.
